Tournament Guidelines:
The two teams finishing the regular season in ninth and tenth positions will go directly to the consolation round.

• All teams are asked to line up and shake hands BEFORE and after each game as a demonstration of good sportsmanship and in the recreational spirit of the league. The professionals do it before international matches and don’t forget that you are setting an example for the children and families who will be watching;
 ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED A SAMMRSL PLAYER REGISTRATION NUMBER (PRN) AND EACH PLAYER MUST BE SHOWN ON THE GAME SHEET PRESENTED TO THE REFEREE BY THE TEAM MANAGER. ANY MANAGER PERMITTING AN UNREGISTERED OR SUSPENDED PLAYER TO PLAY IN THE THE YEAR-END TOURNAMENT WILL BE SUBJECT TO LEAGUE DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES.

• League and ASA rules concerning rough play and unsportsmanlike conduct will be strictly enforced. Per league rules, there will be a zero tolerance policy towards rough play and unsportsmanlike conduct;
• Teams will play two (2) 35 minute halves at referees discretion;
• If tied at the end of second half, there will a penalty shoot-out with each team choosing three (3) players to alternate shots until a winner is declared. If after three shooters there is still a tie there will be one more shooter from each team until a winner is declared. All players present at the field must shoot before a player can take a second shot. Players taking penalty shots do not have to be on the field at the end of the game to participate in the shoot-out.
• Bottom Line: Each game must produce a winner!

SAMMISL Code of Conduct

Posted Mon Mar 12, 2012 - 04:43 PM

SAMMISL is based on four main concepts.
• Character
• Respect
• Maturity
• Integrity
CHARACTER – is about making the tough decisions, it is about seeing where your teammates may be stepping out of line and helping them out when needed. It is about being a leader within yourself and helping others be leaders as well. It is about taking a negative situation and turning it around into a positive one by making a tough choice of removing yourself out of the game or one of your teammates when things get too heated.

RESPECT– you can not demand it, you can not buy it but you can earn it by giving it to everyone on and off the field. There is no need to swear at the ref or throw a temper tantrum. How you treat other players on the field is how you will be treated in return. It takes respect not to hack or yap at your opponent and it takes respect to play the game with class.

MATURITY– comes with experience and unfortunately in most cases age. Will the score at the end of the game matter or is it more important to enjoy each other’s company on the field and in the lounge? No one is heading to the EPL, that ship has sailed a long time ago for some and never has left the port for most. So why not apologize to the opponent you just tripped and help him get up so he can enjoy the game the same way you do?

INTEGRITY – the state of being whole, entire, or undiminished. Being an example on the field, on the bench and after the game will maintain the integrity of the soccer philosophy. It looks weak when you don’t walk the walk, when you give it to the refs and then turn around and tell the guys on the bench to cool it. Think it, say it and live it or don’t play. There is no middle ground.

Downloading forms

It seem that the forms are given a .doc ending when you try to open them. This will not work so for now you will have to right-click on them and save them with just the .xls tag.
